With support from the SFU School for the Contemporary Arts, Vancouver artist and SCA alumnus Scott Morgan, aka , presents audio-visual treatments of compositions from his forthcoming album, . Lake Fire is a densely textured work exploring themes of destruction and rejuvenation, due to be released May 1st on the esteemed American imprint, kranky.
Lauded Vancouver bass player will join Loscil to perform a live rendition of the piece Ash Clouds from Lake Fire, and perform a solo, improvised set on double bass.
Portland-based artist will open the evening. Wolf uses electronics, voice, and field recordings to produce non-linear compositions that draw listeners to a hypnotic inner world. Her use of melody and repetition manipulate the listeners' perception of time, conjuring vivid textures, and atmospheres.
