2025 Chinese Bridge Chinese Proficiency Competition
We are delighted to share some exciting news: our student, Louise Habarugira, has won the top prize (junior group) in the 24th Chinese Bridge Chinese Proficiency Competition for Canadian College and University Students – British Columbia Region. Congratulations to Louise!!!
The Chinese Bridge Chinese Proficiency Competition is an annual contest for college and university students across Canada. This year, there were 42 participants in the BC region. Students from UBC, SFU, UVic, UFA, and other colleges took part.
The award ceremony took place on April 19, 2025, in celebration of International Chinese Language Day. It’s wonderful to see Louise’s hard work and dedication recognized on such a meaningful occasion.
An international student from Burundi, Louise is a first-year Communication student at SFU. In addition to studying Chinese, she also enjoys Chinese pop music.
