"At SFU, you will always feel supported, the community is welcoming and inclusive."

Why did you decide to pursue an MBA and what drew you to the SFU Beedie School of Business?

I believe it麓s important to participate in an international program and connect with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to gain valuable knowledge that will help you grow professionally and personally. After six years in banking, I decided to take this new adventure and explore new fields. SFU stood out to me for the structure of its program, which combines 12 months of intensive coursework and a 4-month co-op work term. SFU has a great location in downtown Vancouver, close to major companies, and its focus on innovation and leadership further influenced my decision to pursue the full-time MBA.

What has been your favourite moment or experience at Beedie so far? What are you looking forward to?

I enjoy the teaching style from current courses, combining a technical focus with a more practical and dynamic style. Right from the beginning, they have taught us how to improve our leadership skills and assigned us intensive team projects, coupled with interesting case studies to discuss in class. I have participated in multiple networking events and panel discussions that have helped me establish good connections. I麓m looking forward to the upcoming courses related to Technology, Data & Innovation, and the workshops offered by the Career Management Center that are focused to promote professional growth.

How would you describe SFU Beedie鈥檚 culture?

It will become your new home, your colleagues will be close friends in this journey and beyond, and the professors, along with various support teams, are genuinely interested in your growth and success. The diverse perspectives and the collaborative spirit of the cohort will enrich your learning experience.
