FT MBA
"the diverse backgrounds of my peers provide an environment for exchanging unique perspectives and ideas."

Why did you decide to pursue an MBA and what drew you to the SFU Beedie School of Business?

Due to personal reasons, I paused my career four years ago to focus on my family. I decided to pursue an MBA to help me re-enter the workforce after this career break. This program provides me with the opportunity to update my business knowledge, acquire new skills, and stay current with market trends. I am particularly interested in Beedie's experiential learning approach, where students can engage in real business projects, case competitions, and internships. These opportunities make the learning content more concrete and truly enhance problem-solving skills. Additionally, the diverse backgrounds of my peers provide an environment for exchanging unique perspectives and ideas.

What has been your moment or experience at Beedie so far? What are you looking forward to?

I don鈥檛 have a specific moment to highlight, but the overall experience so far has been both challenging and rewarding. I am particularly impressed by the active and engaging atmosphere in the classroom, something I haven鈥檛 experienced in my previous studies. My classmates are enthusiastic and generous in sharing their ideas, opinions, and experiences. Everyone鈥檚 involvement and energy are valuable aspects of this program. I look forward to collaborating with them on different projects, sharing experiences, and learning from each other.

How would you describe SFU Beedie鈥檚 culture?

Diversity, inclusiveness, and mutual support.
