Why did you decide to pursue an MBA and what drew you to the SFU Beedie School of Business?
While my experiences have provided a solid foundation, I recognize the importance of continuous growth and adopting an international perspective in my learning. The courses in this program promise valuable insights into advanced planning techniques and real-world case studies, aligning seamlessly with my goal of refining strategic thinking. The dynamic nature of the MBA program at Beedie will prepare me to address future managerial challenges effectively. Additionally, the diverse cohort and their experiences will further enrich my learning. I was also inspired by the success of alumni and current students, whose career growth aligns closely with my aspirations.
What has been your moment or experience at Beedie so far? What are you looking forward to?
Before joining the program, I was skeptical about how I would adapt to the culture. However, upon starting, I quickly realized that the Beedie School of Business embraces diversity and inclusivity, making me feel secure and valued. My favorite aspect of the curriculum is the experiential learning, both from the faculty and my cohort. I also appreciate how Beedie promotes not just academic learning but also growth through extracurricular activities like case competitions. I am excited to further develop my knowledge in business strategy and leadership while expanding my network within the industry I aspire to work in.
How would you describe SFU Beedie鈥檚 culture?
I would describe Beedie鈥檚 culture as inclusive and diverse culture. I believe every student here feels welcomed and valued here for their culture, experience and contribution. The focus on experiential learning, student-led initiatives, and sustainability is also central to its culture, creating a dynamic and supportive environment that helps students thrive both academically and personally
