Why did you decide to pursue an MBA and what drew you to the SFU Beedie School of Business?

At one stage of my professional journey, I began to feel stuck and desired an opportunity that would push me in a positive way, an entirely fresh and unique experience. I aimed to discover fresh interests and abilities within myself and to achieve a higher proficiency in expressing my thoughts to others. I desired to enhance my profile by obtaining an MBA and gaining global recognition.

I was very excited about the course material, particularly the MBA Applied Project, as it is not common in my country. I am excited to uncover new aspects and possibilities within.

What has been your moment or experience at Beedie so far? What are you looking forward to?

It is only my second month into the program, and I must say that it has been fascinating knowing the level of intelligence and knowledge displayed by my classmates when we discuss shared topics every class. It has been interesting to compare our career and cultural experiences across different countries.

I am looking forward to deepening my leadership skills through the upcoming leadership development workshops and projects. Furthermore, I am excited about maintaining the friendships, taking advantage of networking opportunities with alumni and industry leaders, all of which will have a positive impact on my career post-MBA.

How would you describe SFU Beedie鈥檚 culture?

SFU provides a diverse space for professionals, cultures, and academic backgrounds, fostering a vibrant learning environment. The diversity boosts both our group work, discussions, and overall educational experiences. While balancing work and personal life can be challenging, the opportunity for growth and support from instructors makes it manageable and even enjoyable.
