FT MBA
"I feel like I am home away from home. I am amazed by the cooperation and help among our classmates."

Why did you decide to pursue an MBA and what drew you to the SFU Beedie School of Business?

For the short to medium term, I still see myself working in the corporate environment preferably in Banking and Finance. I would like to improve my skills and expertise to move my career up to a senior/managerial level in the Corporate Banking field. I believe SFU鈥檚 MBA delivering technical, managerial, and interpersonal skills will play a big role for me to succeed. For the longer-term, I see myself starting my own venture. I am a self-made entrepreneur and baker in the F&B business. SFU鈥檚 emphasis on entrepreneurship and innovation is my ray of light to help me achieve my long-term career goals.

What has been your moment or experience at Beedie so far? What are you looking forward to?

I enjoy my time back in classes after so many years and my amazing cohort has made every class at SFU enjoyable. In addition to that, I find the lecturers and academic staff here are approachable and open for discussion and constructive feedback which gives me the feeling that my voice is heard. I am looking forward to my next semesters and classes to come as well as upcoming events that SFU has to offer.

How would you describe SFU Beedie鈥檚 culture?

Everybody is ready to help and share with open arms. Our friendship has deepened through group projects, class discussions and extracurricular activities.

Beedie cares about both our academic and career endeavours. We are equipped with not only academic knowledge but personal and professional growth. I love that Beedie has balanced out those needs for students and I look forward to more of it.
