About us
Strengthening B.C.’s Agriculture and Agrifoods Sectors for the Future
The B.C. Centre for Agritech Innovation (BCCAI) supports farmers, producers, food-processors and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in meeting their innovation needs. We provide our partners access to cost-sharing and domain knowledge via experts from academia, industry and government. The centre works with partners to develop and advance technology solutions and training opportunities to solve industry challenges, build resilient supply chains and generate global solutions for food insecurity and climate change.
Our Vision
Inclusive innovation for a sustainable, resilient and globally competitive food value chain in B.C.
Our Mission
Empower food producers, processors, inventors and traditional knowledge-keepers to develop and adopt agritech innovation for sustainable food systems.
Our Collaborative Model
The centre, led by ÓÈÎïÊÓƵ, engages with a collaborative network from across the province that includes post-secondary institutions, industry partners, governments, Indigenous organizations, agri-producers and not-for-profits. By bringing together diverse voices—from farmers and producers to researchers and policymakers—we uncover deeper insights into sector needs and co-create practical solutions.
