As higher education evolves, creating truly accessible learning environments is more important than ever. The virtual Teaching and Learning Symposium | Centering Accessibility in Teaching and Learning will explore how institutions can support all students by increasing focus on embedding accessibility into the digital learning ecosystem, leveraging emerging technologies, and moving beyond a compliance mindset. Community-led sessions and collaborative discussions will inspire practical strategies to remove barriers, enhance student engagement, and promote long-term accessibility practices. This event offers a unique opportunity to exchange ideas, discover innovative solutions, and drive meaningful change in higher education.

The Symposium offers participants the opportunity to:

• Prepare for implementation of Title II of the ADA by understanding approaches and identifying action steps to ensure compliance.
• Evaluate the potential of AI-powered tools as assistive technologies, considering their benefits, limitations, and ethical implications for learners.
• Explore strategies for moving beyond a compliance mindset to build and sustain a broad culture of digital accessibility.
• Examine the role of technology to promote accessible learning experiences, and identify opportunities to integrate accessibility into the planning, design, and delivery of educational content.
