Congratulations to the 2025 FASS 3MT winners

Congratulations to our graduate students who participated in the recent Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition!

This year marks the highest number of participants, with ten graduate students from across FASS taking on the challenge to present their thesis and its significance with just three minutes and one slide.

In addition to receiving cash prizes, all three winners will move forward to represent FASS at the university-wide competition on April 10th. If successful, they will stand a chance to compete at the Western Regionals and the National Competition.

Cheer on FASS at the SFU Final

All three FASS winners will be presenting in the SFU-wide competition where they will compete against the winners of the wildcard heat and other faculty heats. If successful, the winners of the SFU final will stand a chance to compete in the Western Regionals and the National Competition.

Come cheer them on April 10th, 5:30 – 7:30pm at SYRE Theatre 1002 and SYRE Atrium at the SFU Surrey campus. For more information, visit the Graduate Studies website.
