Welcome to the Changemaker Program! This free, flexible, self-directed program is open to students in any major and at any stage of their journey. In just 3-5 hours, it connects you to valuable resources and opportunities to explore how you can use your degree to make a difference.
Along the way, you'll gain insights into how you can align with global goals like the , helping you make the most of your time at SFU to prepare for what's next!

2. Complete the Activities
To finish the program, complete ONE Career Development Activity and ONE Building Experience Activity in any order, over one or more semesters.
Career Development Activities
Choose ONE of the following:
Meet with a Career Advisor
Book a chat with a Career Advisor. We offer free personalized career guidance to students from all disciplines, available at any SFU campus or remotely via Zoom. Book through MyExperience and write "Changemaker Program" under "Additional Information" when you make your appointment.
Attend a Career Workshop
Attend a changemaker career workshop hosted by SFU Career and Volunteer Services, including those offered as part of your classes.
Building Experience Activities
Choose ONE of the following:
Volunteer
Volunteer for at least 2 hours (within the past 2 semesters). This includes any volunteering within or beyond SFU, it just needs to be a role that you aren't already using towards CCR recognition.
Attend An Event
Attend any career- or Changemaker-related event that helps you explore your future possibilities or engage with an issue you care about (including career fairs, employer info sessions, student-organized events, research events, etc.). If it meets that criterion, it counts! To receive all the latest opportunities, make sure you're signed up for the program email list.
3. Submit Your Completion Form
Once you鈥檝e completed both activities, fill out this to receive your Certificate and CCR credit. The deadline for Spring semester recognition is April 22.
