The Personal Whale Rescue Mission
Interactive system
By: Yuxin Kimi Zhang, Zilin Zhang, Ally Cui, Krystal Jiang
Course: IAT 267 Introduction to Technological Systems
Description: Our project is an interactive installation designed to raise awareness about environmental issues, particularly ocean pollution, electricity waste and illegal fishing activities that threaten marine life. Through a combination of physical elements and digital interfaces, participants are presented in a miniature world where they play a crucial role in environmental conservation efforts. By engaging with the installation, participants are inspired to take action in protecting our oceans. For instance, by deterring illegal fishing, turning off air conditioning equipment, and cleaning up the ocean's surface, they experience firsthand the impact of their actions on the environment. By inviting participants to become active agents of change within the miniature world, we aim to ignite meaningful conversations about environmental stewardship and motivate real steps toward a more sustainable future.
