John Willinsky

Biography
John Willinsky is a University Research Associate at SFU, where he directs the , which conducts research and develops open source scholarly publishing software; he is also Khosla Family Professor of Education at Stanford University.
A member of the Royal Society of Canada, his books include the 鈥淓mpire of Words: The Reign of the OED鈥� (Princeton, 1994); 鈥淟earning to Divide the World: Education at Empire鈥檚 End鈥� (Minnesota, 1998); 鈥淭echnologies of Knowing鈥� (Beacon 2000); and 鈥淭he Access Principle: The Case for Open Access to Research and Scholarship鈥� (MIT Press, 2006).
