A Yeong Kim loves art and design, making the  program a natural fit.

鈥淢y favourite thing about the Visual Art program is that there鈥檚 no limit. I can expand my ideas, and create pieces that deliver messages and show my thoughts. Interacting with different artists, professors and friends has supported my studies, and there鈥檚 still so much more to learn鈥�.

Kim鈥檚 artistic practice draws on different cultural influences. Her work challenges notions of perfection and success, questioning how people alter themselves to meet standards set by society.   

The  student has shown her work at exhibitions, and created displays and photography for restaurants.

Kim鈥檚 photography skill has been recognized by , who awarded her a Canon Canada Photography Prize in 2016.
