MARVIN WASHINGTON JOINS SFU AS DEAN, BEEDIE SCHOOL OF BUSINESSS

Starting Oct. 1, Dr. Marvin Washington will join SFU as Dean for the Beedie School of Business. He is a well-known educator, speaker, writer and consultant on the topics of leadership, strategy and organizational development. He is considered among the best in field in institutional theory as measured by the Financial Times ranking and is a Research Fellow within the North American Society for Sports Management (NASSM).

ALUMNI RECOGNIZED WITH YWCA WOMEN OF DISTINCTION AWARDS

YWCA Metro Vancouver recently announced the 42nd annual Women of Distinction Awards presented by Scotiabank—and two SFU alumni are among the recipients! Heartiest congratulations to Cindy Beedie and Kim van der Woerd who were recognized for their outstanding activities and achievements that contribute to the wellbeing and future of the greater Vancouver community.
