Learn more about Take Our Kids to Work Day on November 2, 2022
Take Our Kids to Work Day (TOKTWD) is coming up on November 2, 2022. This year鈥檚 events and activities for Grade 9 youth include a Faculty of Science Biology session, Faculty of Applied Sciences Computer Science activity and a Faculty of Environment Archaeology presentation.
As part of this year鈥檚 exciting event, Phoebe Gross, SFU鈥檚 Science in Action team member, will be leading the 鈥楽pectacular Salmon Life Cycle鈥 - the Science Biology session this year. 鈥淭hrough hands-on experiments, engaging discussions and short lectures, students will learn all about Pacific Salmon biology,鈥 says Cynthia Henson, Manager of Outreach and Engagement. 鈥淪tudents will be asked to think critically about the salmon life cycle and learn how to use laboratory equipment to identify what salmon eat,鈥 adds Henson. This activity allows youth to learn more about marine biology and science experiments as well as get to know more about SFU鈥檚 Science Biology program.
If this sounds like it would be interesting to your Grade 9 youth, please sign them up for the event. Spaces are limited, so remember to today.
