1:1 Appointments with an International Student Advisor:
Most inquiries can be addressed quickly through our drop-in advising (virtual or in-person).
If you need to discuss complex immigration and or transition-related inquiries, you can request a 20-minute appointment with our International Student Advisors. Appointments are available by request and can be offered either in-person or virtually on Zoom. If more time is needed, our advisor may schedule a鈥痜ollow-up appointment.
Examples of complex or special circumstances that may qualify for a scheduled appointment include:
- A refused or urgent study permit renewal or work permit application
- A study or work permit that has expired or will expire within one week
- A complex study or work permit application due to critical incidents, academic standing, financial blocks, multiple leave of absences, etc.
- Requests from IRCC for additional documents

If an appointment is needed for your case, an advisor can book an advising appointment for you through the drop-in advising.
How to Request an Appointment:
To request a 1 on 1 advising appointment with our International Student Advisors, please follow the steps below:
- Fill out the webform below, describing your specific circumstances why you require an appointment. Please ensure to provide the necessary information and any relevant documents for review.
- Your request will be reviewed by our advisors to determine if an appointment is the most appropriate for you. Note that not all appointment requests will be granted.
Depending on the nature of your requests/inquiries, you may expect to receive:
- a written response to your questions(s) via email;
- a referral to one of our drop-in advising (virtual or in-person); or;
- confirmation that an advising appointment will be scheduled
