Contemporary Francophone Issues in the Humanities and Social Sciences FREN 203 (3)
The aim of this course is to enable students to deepen their ability to read and understand French texts on contemporary socio-political issues. Students will do close readings of essays, newspaper articles or short excerpts from opinion pieces, so as to develop an analytical and critical reading methodology. Prerequisite: Grade 12 French Immersion or FREN 202 or FREN 221 or permission of the Department of French.
