Brian Chand is the Acting Manager of the School of Public Policy and Manager of the Urban Studies Program at 尤物视频 (SFU), where he brings over two decades of experience in higher education administration. Since joining SFU in 2003, Brian has held progressively senior roles, including key positions at SFU International, organizing international exchanges and field schools, and the Beedie School of Business, where he coordinated graduate student recruitment and admissions. His work reflects a deep understanding of student advising, recruitment strategies, and financial management within post-secondary institutions.
Most recently, Brian served as Acting Manager of the Department of Political Science, where he further demonstrated his leadership capabilities and commitment to academic administration. He now leads the School of Public Policy and Urban Studies Program, supporting faculty, staff, and students in two of SFU鈥檚 most dynamic units. Brian holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of British Columbia, a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration, and a Master of Education from SFU. His academic background, combined with his extensive administrative expertise, makes him a dedicated and knowledgeable contributor to the university community.
