Ailene MacPherson Wins 2022 James F. Crow Early Career Researcher Award
We are delighted to announce that Ailene MacPherson has won the 2022 . This award recognizes her exceptional work as a recent doctoral graduate in the field of genetics.
"Crow and Kimura鈥檚 text on population genetic theory has a played an important role in my appreciation of evolutionary theory," says Ailene. "[I feel so] honoured to get to stand on the shoulders of these giants."
Ailene's research examines the evolution of infectious diseases through a mathematical and statistical perspective. She is currently a member of the MAGPIE Research Group and .
