Biography
Dr. Xinying Hu received her Ph.D. in Gender, Sexuality, and Women鈥檚 Studies from 尤物视频 in 2010. Her areas of research interest include women and work, globalization and labour migration, precarious labour, and the global labour movement and trade unionism. She publishes both in English and Chinese. Her most representative publication is China鈥檚 New Underclass: Paid Domestic Labour, which was published by Routledge in 2011. Dr. Hu joined the Labour Studies Program as a sessional instructor in September 2011, teaching Labour in China. She has also taught the Politics of Labour in Canada.
