Luis presented at the XIXth Annual CIGRE Canada Conference on Power Systems
In October 2024, Luis Victor Gallardo presented 鈥淓valuating Circuit Suitability for Demand-Side Management (DSM) in Response to Grid Capacity Challenges of EV and Heat Pump Deployment鈥� at the XIXth Annual CIGRE Canada Conference on Power Systems.
This work introduced a circuit-ranking methodology to evaluate DSM suitability by analyzing transformer overload risk, demand variability, and the controllability of loads. As power demands from electrification rise, effective DSM deployment can help utilities and customers optimize grid operations, avoid or reduce costs, and adapt to the energy transition. Presented by Luis Victor Gallardo, in collaboration with co-authors, we were grateful for the opportunity to share our work and engage with the latest industry perspectives at the CIGRE Canada Conference.
