Racing across the Atlantic: how we pulled together for ocean science

Earlier this year SFU Biological Sciences professor Isabelle C么t茅 completed a gruelling row across the Atlantic ocean with the Salty Science team to raise money for marine conservation charities. She shared some reflections on her experience.
"The trio wanted to recruit another female marine scientist. B茅gin hadn鈥檛 spoken to C么t茅 for years, but knew the 61-year-old was a canoeist and kayaker, ultra-marathon runner and long-distance swimmer. 鈥淚 knew she had the endurance,鈥� says B茅gin. With C么t茅鈥檚 thumbs-up, the team became four."
